Frequently Asked Questions

What are the specifications for the pieces?★ The zine will be formatted in a vertical, A4(210mm x 297mm or 8.27in x 11.69in) size★ Illustrations should be a minimum of 300dpi★ While the recommendation is to make A4, vertical pieces, due to the zine publication format, this is not mandatory! There are workarounds if you think a different format is best for your work★ Written pieces should be a maximum length of 3k words, with a recommended minimum of 1k words--------------------Who can sign up?★ There is no limit to signups and there is no selection process: as long as you comply with the rules and correctly fill in the sign-ups form you are considered a participant--------------------What content is okay to include in pieces?
★ Content must not be upsetting, offensive or NSFW★ OCs are ok as long as they're not the focus of the piece(such as in a cameo)★ Any art submissions don't have to be character-centric(backgrounds or creatures are accepted too, for example)★ Ship art is ok AS LONG AS it complies with all other zine rules--------------------How will the submission/formatting of southern hemisphere pieces work?★ Although we are still trying to figure out the logistics behind it, at the moment we think we may di a hard split in the zine for both hemispheres' seasons★ If you are planning on making a winter-themed piece(in line with southern seasons) please let us know when signing up(or once you've signed up, by contacting us). When submitting pieces, they should be added to the "Snowboarding Spells" folder which can be found inside the larger submissions folder--------------------Can there be manga spoilers in the pieces made for the zine?★ Art including characters who might be considered spoilers should be avoided(a general rule for what constitutes a "spoiler" in terms of characters is whether they have appeared on one of the volumes covers, but feel free to contact the mods if you're not sure about this!)--------------------When will the zine be out?★ We don't have a specific date but we estimate it'll be released around mid/late July--------------------If you have any additional questions feel free to email them to [email protected] !
